August 6, 2018 (Mason)

We all woke up at 10:00 a.m. Knowing this day was going to be a day of traveling, we weren't in too much of a rush. We decided to rent a car and drive to General Pico and stay there for a day. Our plan was to have a road trip across Argentina visiting cool places and eventually get to the mountains to go skiing. We asked Siri to pick a number one through four and she picked two, John's number, which meant he was driving. We rented a car and got lucky getting a BMW M3 so John became a little less resentful about having to drive. James quickly called shotgun not realizing he was going to have to be John's map-reader, which left me and Ryan in the back. There were two car charger ports in the back, so me and Ryan plugged our phones in immediately and simultaneously whipped out our fully charged laptops while John cranked up the tunes. Ryan and I connected our laptops to our phones so we had WiFi and started to play Combat Reloaded. John quickly got annoyed since every five seconds we'd yell who got a kill or where to go, such as, "TOP CRUSTY" or "CRUSTY TUNNELS." The car ride was going great until John got a text and looked at his phone which made James, Ryan, and I extremely mad, so we started yelling at him. John ended up having to pull over to the nearest gas station which was a BP, and we all went in still giving John dirty looks. We each grabbed a Coke and some candy, used the bathroom and were off once again after filling the car with gas. We all were pretty much in agreement that John might be the worst driver we had ever met but nobody wanted to drive so we left it be. Ryan and I went back to playing Combat Reloaded and after a little bit, we fell asleep. We decided to stop in this small town called General Pico to grab a bite to eat. We decided to eat at this place called Resto Roma. It was an Italian restaurant so naturally we all got spaghetti and devoured it quickly. We jumped back in the car, and we were off again. Once we got out of General Pico, James fell asleep and Ryan was listening to music.  It was just me driving and John was sitting shotgun.  He took the aux cord and started to play his music.  He began to play Imagine Dragons and I took that aux cord immediately.  I told him if he wanted it he had to play something good.  So then he started to play my "Bangerz" playlist.  It had Logic, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, J. Cole, Post Malone, and Migos. After about an hour we hit a big bump and James woke up.  James suggested we played a car game.  So James, Ryan, and John started to play I Spy.  "I spy with my little eye something green,"  James said.  They went on playing that while I was focused on driving.  We were three hours in and we stopped for a little break on the side of the road.  John started to drive. John actually sucked at driving and so we stopped again 30 minutes after he started and he switched out with Ryan. Ryan started to drive appropriately and then he started to speed up.  At one point we were going over 100 miles per hour on a country road.  We reached the max speed of the car, which is 165. John was almost vomiting and screaming "We are gonna dieee!"  James and I were laughing hysterically.  Ryan was laughing so much he was crying.  He finally slowed when we came to a stoplight.  By that point no one was falling asleep the rest of the trip out of fear of the driver.  James started playing "Rolex" on the aux.
We finally got to our hotel, Hosteria Amparo.  It's in Neuquen Province which on the west border of Argentina.  We stayed here because around this area we could camp, hike, fish, horseback ride, and quad bike. It was a really interesting looking hotel, but we were wiped out so we decided we would look around in the morning. We went straight up to the hotel room after unpacking the car and all fell asleep with our shoes on. John and I didn't even make it to our beds before pure exhaustion just knocked us out.
