Travel Day 8/1/18
Last night Mason, James and John all slept over at my house. The flight from RDU is at 2:30 PM, so we had time to sleep in. The hype for the trip was building as we all packed for the trip. Mason had the job of packing the air mattresses, ski gear and soccer gear. That is what Mason thought was important for this trip because Argentina is known for soccer and its mountains. I packed the fly fishing gear because Argentina has amazing trout fishing, and I wanted to teach the boys how to fly fish. John and James said they were just going to go with the flow, so they just packed clothes and a camera. Before we left, we all ate a huge breakfast with eggs, pancakes, sausage, and bacon. As we were scarfing all of the delicious food down, my mom way heaving our luggage into the car. We were talking about all of the crazy stunts we were going to pull on the trip. Mason said, "Bro, how much you want to bet that I'm going to mess with he locals?!" We all respond, "Mason there is no way you will ever do it." As we are doing this my mom is sitting in the back thinking we are idiots. "It's time to go boys its 11:00 a.m., get in the car in five seconds or I'm leaving you in Apex."  After hearing that, we all instantly run to the car to get in. Leaving the house in a hurry I plug my phone into the aux, and start bumping to Kodak, Migos, and 21 Savage. John is not having it in the back because I won't play any Chance the Rapper. So to stop making him complain, I turn on Coco Butter Kisses. He instantly stopped whining and we were chillin. All the way to the airport we listen to our music, still getting hype for the trip. My mom then says, "Boys did you pack your toothbrush, deodorant, toothpaste, underwear, shirts, shorts, pants, socks, and a jacket just in case it gets cold?" We answer with a sharp, "Check, check, check, and we also brought snow gear for the mountains." As I was looking at my GPS I looked at the time left until the airport, and it was six minutes. It was currently 11:26 a.m. and there was no way we were going to be late.

At 11:31 a.m.,  we all were out of the car and going into the airport. We all walk up to the kiosk machine, and print all of our tickets. Thankfully, we all got upgraded to TSA Pre-check, and didn't have to stand in the long security line. We checked all of our bags for free because we got a special deal from my dad. My dad travels all the time and let us use his points. We scurry over to the security line, and go through it link a breeze. When we get to the gate, we all decide that we are still hungry. Being the teenagers we are we then went to the Five Guys and pigged out on burgers and fries. After finishing all of the food, we sluggishly lumber over to the gate. The time was 12:00 noon, so we all napped for the remaining two hours until we boarded. We all woke up to a lady saying, "YOU BETTER GET ON THE PLANE THEY ARE GOING TO SHUT THE DOOR!" We ran as fast as we could to the plane and plopped in our seats. We all got comfortable seats in the middle of the plane. As the plane took off at 2:50 p.m., John started to cry because he had never been on a plane before. We all laughed at how pathetic he looked. As we passed about 10,000 ft in the air the flight attendant turned on the WiFi on the plane. I started to watch Rick and Morty, Mason turned on "How I Met Your Mother," James was watching tutorials on YouTube about the "World's Hardest Game," and then there was John watching "My Little Pony." All of this took up the time of the flight which lasted about one hour and 44 minutes.

We landed in Toronto at 4:34 p.m. and then had a two hour and 50 minute layover ahead of us. We got off the plane and looked for our next gate, B39.  We were all the way at E45, so we had to take the shuttle car over to a different terminal. As we were walking, we realized we had a two hour wait, so we all slowed down a lot. We made it to the shuttle at 5:10 p.m. "Ugh still two more hours," Mason wailed. The shuttle ride lasted only ten minutes. We departed from the shuttle and started another slow walk to the gate. When I saw a sign that said, "Hover Board Rentals." We all ran to it and rented one. We all knew this was not going to end well. We start going full speed through the terminal having a blast. As we were flying through  the terminal, we saw a food court, and took a pit stop for some grub. We all chose the Panda Express because we all missed our good friend Logan Styers. The Panda Express reminded us so much of Logan. Each bite we took we dedicated to her. We all knew this was the stupidest thing we all could have thought of at the time. After the meal, we checked the time, 6:30 p.m. Our flight departed at 7:20 p.m., so we still had 50 minutes to kill before our flight left. We found an Apple Store in the mall, and checked out the new iPhone X. I hated it because it had no fingerprint scanner, and you had to always rely on the face recognition. The rest of the gang loved it, and I thought they were crazy. John immediately called his mom and asked if he could buy one with her money. Being the spoiled brat he is, his mommy replied, "Sure honey just make sure you get a custom My Little Pony case, you know it is our favorite show." James, Mason and I's jaws dropped when we heard his mom say that. We then cried out laughing, and couldn't stop till John punched us. After the tragedy we just experienced, we went to our gate because it was 6:40 p.m. We got to the gate and then got on the plane. This plane was a Boeing 777 and had bed seats, so we knew we had a experience ahead of us. The plane took off at 7:30, and all of us instantly went to sleep in our plane beds, knowing when we woke up we would be in Argentina.
